Project Engineer – FIRE & Security Honeywell Building Solutions (HBS) invites a Project Engineer to join our global team based in Cologno Monzese. HBS is a $2.5B strategic business unit inside Honeywell’s Global Building Automation (BA) Business that installs and maintains systems that keep buildings connected, safe, secure and cost‑efficient.Responsibilities Assist the Project Manager in the technical development of building automation projects using value engineering.Coordinate contributions of internal and external key stakeholders to realize the project.Design and document complex integrated systems.Develop software, perform bench testing if necessary, and deliver commissioning packages to the field; assist with start‑up delivery if required.Support field engineers during commissioning and on‑site activities and technical project management.Integrate systems into supervisory software, including third‑party systems using BACnet, Life Safety, Modbus, OPC and other protocols.Use change control logs to create a full audit trail of all design changes to support the Project Manager’s change order management.Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronic Engineering or a related field.Excellent computer skills and basic knowledge of networking.3‑5 years of experience in building automation with on‑site experience in Fire and Security Systems.Basic knowledge of electrical diagrams and ability to read, speak and write English at a B2 level.Ability to plan and schedule delivery of technical projects.Self‑starting, able to work with minimal supervision and willing to develop extensive product knowledge in formal training and on‑the‑job environments.Strong communication, interpersonal skills and commitment to customer satisfaction.What We Offer Dynamic, creative international work environment.Culture that fosters inclusion, diversity and innovation.Opportunity to work with cutting edge products and solutions.Competitive salary package.Multiple possibilities to grow within the company structure.About Honeywell Honeywell helps organizations solve the world’s most complex challenges in automation, aviation, energy transition and industrial automation.
