Microsoft Data Engineer – KPMG Italy We invite you to join KPMG Italy as a Microsoft Data Engineer, where you will help clients transform their data capabilities and drive business intelligence solutions. Role and Responsibilities Design end‑to‑end data pipelines for ETL/ELT processes, integrating diverse sources (business systems, cloud, IoT, API). Define and implement data architectures such as Data Warehouses, Data Lakes and tabular models to support BI. Develop scalable solutions on Microsoft Azure (Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, Cosmos DB) and integrate with external applications (SSIS, KingswaySoft, Logic Apps). Manage relational and non‑relational databases with SQL, ensuring performance and scalability. Create interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI to support strategic decision‑making. Participate in national and international projects, collaborating with cross‑functional teams and clients across industries. Skills and Characteristics 3–5 years of experience designing and implementing data engineering solutions on Microsoft Azure and Fabric. Proficiency with Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, Data Lake, SSIS, KingswaySoft and strong SQL skills. Experience building and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines and data architectures for business analytics. Ability to develop reports and tabular models in Power BI, following best practices for interactive dashboards. Fluency in English, preferably with international experience.
