Located in the heart of Tuscany, the Borgo Santo Pietro estate, also characterized by its 'from the land to the plate' philosophy, is a five-star Resort set on approximately 120 hectares of cultivated land and gardens. The estate includes gardens, vegetable gardens and medicinal plants in which our staff work every day to produce fruits, vegetables and aromatic and medicinal herbs according to the principles of organic cultivation. Plant products are used primarily in the kitchens of our two restaurants within the Resort, Trattoria sull'Albero and the Michelin-starred restaurant Saporium, and the additional Michelin-starred restaurant Saporium Firenze. Officinal products, on the other hand, are used in the preparation of a cosmetic line of body care products. Within the estate there are also vineyards, a farm with farmyard animals, cattle, pigs and sheep, and finally an artisanal dairy.

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Hotel Manager to oversee our hotel operations. In this position, you will direct the day-to-day operations. Your duties will include managing personnel, collecting payments, monitoring budgets, and evaluating hotel performance.

The Hotel Manager will have outstanding interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with cross-functional teams. He/she will have a special talent for ensuring an excellent level of service, a strong business acumen, passion for service, and desire to promote a continuous learning environment.

The Hotel Manager will report directly to the General Manager and the Owner.

Main responsibilities:

  1. Supervise day-to-day operations of all departments.
  2. Organize, control and supervise the work of the Hotel Staff.
  3. Coordinate the activities of the various departments, monitoring efficiency and quality of services and compliance with standards.
  4. Conduct regular operations meetings with all department managers/supervisors to discuss routine operational matters, departmental performance targets, and guest feedback.
  5. Create and implement SoPs, guidelines in collaboration with the HR department.
  6. Be involved in recruitment activities in collaboration with the HR department.
  7. Contribute to staff evaluation, job descriptions' creation and other staff-related activities.
  8. Ensure guests have a satisfactory stay, and may help resolve escalated customer issues.
  9. Manage the hotel budget and finances with the aim of achieving efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  10. Collect payments and maintain records of budget and expenses.
  11. Evaluate hotel performance and ensure compliance with health and safety rules.

Candidate profile:

  1. At least 3 years of experience in hotel management or a similar role, preferably in luxury hotels.
  2. Strong understanding of hotel management best practices and data entry software.
  3. Essential strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage large teams.
  4. Knowledge of LHW high-level standards is necessary.
  5. Strong knowledge of the F&B and Room Division department.
  6. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Hotel PMS, OS, email.
  7. Excellent level of English language is required.
  8. Proactive attitude and excellent communication skills.
  9. Capability to deal with pressure and deadlines.
  10. Strong attention to detail.
  11. Outstanding teamwork orientation.
  12. Exceptional problem-solving skills.
