Together with our clients, we’re helping to deliver the energy transition globally.Overview of the roleThe Energy Transition team within our Energy unit is looking for Senior Control & Instrumentation Engineers to strengthen the existing C&I team; providing advisory and design capabilities across a variety of power and energy projects types and technologies in a growing portfolio, supporting our clients in the UK and across Europe as part of the energy transition.Key responsibilities and duties include:Working on projects in a variety of stages of maturity, including Owner’s Engineer, Design Review, Feasibility Studies, FEED Studies and Detailed Design. There will be opportunities for site work during project development, construction and commissioningPreparation of C&I deliverables such as equipment specifications, control philosophises, calculations, equipment datasheets, loop drawings, cable block diagrams, general arrangement drawings, cable routing drawings, reviewing P&IDs and other process informationParticipation in safety reviews (HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA)Coordinate C&I delivery on multi-disciplinary project, interfacing with other disciplines, project engineer, project manager and customerWorking with the project team to develop cost‑effective, efficient and innovative solutions to complex problems to create practical designs based on these solutionsWorking with equipment vendors on developing designs of equipment packages and participating in technical evaluations of vendor designsSupport in developing proposals and bids for the C&I discipline and contributing to multi‑disciplinary proposalsProvide technical leadership and governanceA commitment to promoting health, safety, and wellbeing in the workplaceA Degree in a relevant Engineering subjectChartered Engineer (or in the process of obtaining) and Member of relevant Engineering InstituteSignificant post graduate experience in C&I technical deliveryThe ability and desire to assume a lead role in the development of C&I deliverablesAbility to adapt and work on multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic and fast‑paced environmentKnowledge of design and construction of power and energy projectsProven understanding of the design process and ability to demonstrate working knowledge of brief/scope documents, design concepts as well as experienced in producing calculationsDetailed working knowledge of national and international codes and standards used within the power and energy sectorExperience of working with design software packages such as Autocad, Aveva, etcKnowledge of OEM control systems such as Siemens, ABB, Emerson, etcExperience of working with clients and contractors with a diverse range of objectives in achieving a technical solutionExperience within Owner’s Engineer or technical advisory sectorEquality, diversity, and inclusionWe put equality, diversity, and inclusion at the heart of our business, seeking to promote fair employment procedures and practices to ensure equal opportunities for all.
