Job Description: Local and alternative payment methods (APMs) play a crucial role in helping businesses around the world reach customers in ways that are tailored to each of hundreds of different markets. This value comes with immense complexity as each payment method is intricate and dynamic. The payment specialist will play a key role in the end to end delivery for launching new payment methods, as well as in ongoing maintenance. Responsibilities For new payment methods, work with cross-functional teams including engineering, accounting and treasury to lay out testing plans, complete provider certification, set up and troubleshoot settlement reconciliations, and analyse and implement ways to reduce reconciliation breaks. For existing payment methods, gather the required information and present it to the product team with a clear description of the implementation and interpretation of the APM rules and their recommendations. Disseminate payments knowledge throughout the organization so that merchant-facing teams have the information needed to answer merchant queries. Support internal operations teams in maintaining and troubleshooting operations such as merchant onboarding, settlements and reconciliation. Qualifications 3+ years of hands-on Business Analyst or other relevant roles' experience in financial services and / or in payments processing. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with motivation to find end-to-end solutions. Ability to work cross-functionally and with remote teams. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with complex datasets. Ability to meet tight deadlines in an evolving environment, with multiple projects and competing priorities. Willingness to take new initiative and continuously learn. Experience with analysis & BI tools is a plus (Excel, Looker, DataDog; SQL is a nice to have). Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Fluency in English and superb communication skills at all levels. Knowledge of Payments is a must.
