Commissioning Engineer

Join to apply for the Commissioning Engineer role at thyssenkrupp ResponsibilitiesEnsure safety throughout all commissioning processes.Manage the commissioning team and ensure proper execution of commissioning planning.Manage & supervise the pre‑commissioning, commissioning, start‑up/ramp‑up, performance testing of various subsystems and the plant.Support the handover of subsystems and the plant between stakeholders at site.Work closely with stakeholders including the Project Manager, Site Manager and the Site Team.Main Responsibilities And ContentsResponsible for functionally developing, managing and delivering the means and methods of the commissioning execution strategy, schedule and cost.Lead and direct all commissioning activities including the lead staff position responsible for and directing all commissioning activities at the site.Ensure best practices by developing and implementing handover, pre‑commissioning, commissioning, preservation processes and systems considering contractual requirements, construction and commissioning schedule, maintenance, change and risk management.Establish system boundaries, scopes of work and handover as per commissioning execution plants.Communicate commissioning roles and scope for members of engineering and construction team, and coordinate and attend engineering, construction and safety reviews.Responsible to ensure proper documentation and reporting of commissioning related activities.Be involved and participate in client, vendor, and/or subcontractor meetings to resolve issues.Handover to service.Rights/AuthoritiesManage/implement commissioning processes to fulfill schedule and contractual obligations.Instruct NCA commissioning team members.Take decision on daily commissioning issues.Negotiate and agree with the client on any commissioning issues.Mobilize, demobilise and replace NCA commissioning team members according to site requirements.Resolve technical issues or disputes, if in the interest of overall project management or the decision violates contractual, safety or quality requirements.QualificationsStrong mechanical and chemical background.10 years of experience as process or commissioning engineer with an international engineering company in chemical industry; electrolysis experience is a plus.Fluent in English; German and other European languages are a plus.Availability to travel and prolonged stays in/out Europe at plant site.Willingness to relocate to Southeast Europe.High attention to HSE topics and procedures.Strong interpersonal skills: ability to interact with other cultures, flexibility, collaboration.Strong problem‑solving skills.Capability to manage stressful situations.Knowledge of IT tools: MS Office, design software (AutoCAD, Navisworks).BenefitsParticipation in green hydrogen market using renewable energy.Flat hierarchies and short decision‑making routes.International work environment in interdisciplinary and multinational teams.Good development opportunities either in specialist or management function.Flexible working time (flexible hours and smartworking).Welfare plan.Special rates for local transport and fitness studio membership.Availability of company canteen and free parking.Public transport: Metrò green line M2, stop Crescenzago, speedway tangenziale est, exit Cascina Gobba.Companythyssenkrupp nucera Italy is located in Milano and specializes in the design and supply of electrochemical plants for green hydrogen, chlorine, and caustic soda.
