Join to apply for the Functional Analyst role at Sky Italia .Sky Group is looking for a Functional Analyst in our Group Monitoring Engineering Team in the Origination & Distribution Department to work across multiple platforms and support Operations and Support teams by defining and implementing monitoring. You’ll be part of a team in charge of providing Operations and Support teams with a consistent, reliable and innovative set of tools for real-time monitoring and control.This role will be key in maintaining the quality of Sky operations as well as the stability of our platforms. If you stand out as a leader in Monitoring working with developers to deliver quality software at every step, we would like to hear from you.What you’ll do:Work alongside Operations to identify functional gaps, understand technical and functional requirements, and translate them into practical, scalable solutions.Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to clearly capture their needs and goals, ensuring alignment throughout the solution lifecycle.Partner with Solution Architects, Software Developers, Tech Leads, and Product Owners to design reliable and resilient monitoring solutions that follow industry best practices and meet precise requirements.Ensure the technical feasibility of proposed solutions and verify compliance with SLAs and internal standards.Provide support and guidance during the development and implementation phases to ensure systems are meeting the defined functional and technical requirements.Support the broader Group Monitoring team and Operations in adopting best practices and automation.Contribute to the Group-wide monitoring strategy.What you’ll bring:Experience in functional analysis and a nice to have experience with monitoring requirements.Ability to understand complex architectures and video workflows.Proven knowledge of how software systems and/or platforms interact and operate, with motivation to understand technical details.Solid understanding of software development principles (e.g., APIs, integration patterns) to collaborate effectively with engineering teams.Familiarity with containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and Cloud deployment solutions.Nice to have knowledge of broadcast principles.Demonstrable analytical and problem‑solving skills.Excellent communication and relationship management skills.Fluent in written and verbal English.Motivation to learn, make improvements, and help the department grow and improve.Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionInformation Technology and EngineeringIndustriesBroadcast Media Production and DistributionReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Sky Italia by 2x.We’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
