Role Overview:
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Compliance Attorney to work on a Full-time basis. The role involves providing legal counsel to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions, with a focus on emerging technology sectors. Responsibilities include drafting and reviewing compliance policies, conducting risk assessments, and advising on data protection and privacy laws.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement compliance frameworks tailored to the client’s operational needs and regulatory obligations.
- Review and update existing policies and procedures to align with evolving legal and industry standards.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential compliance gaps and recommend mitigations.
- Provide guidance on cross-border regulatory requirements, particularly in technology and data-driven industries.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with federal, state, and international laws.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with a focus on compliance, corporate law, or regulatory affairs.
- Active membership in a state bar association, with at least 3 years of experience in compliance-related legal roles.
- Deep knowledge of data privacy laws, such as GDPR, CCPA, or other relevant regulations.
- Experience drafting and negotiating compliance policies, contracts, and legal documentation.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret complex regulatory texts and apply them to business operations.
