This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a large-scale, global project as a remote, contract-based engineer with flexible hours. You will design, develop, and maintain robust full-stack applications while collaborating with an international team of engineers. The position allows you to influence system architecture, implement engineering best practices, and participate in code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable solutions. With flexibility in scheduling and the ability to work from anywhere within eligible locations, you will make a tangible impact on meaningful projects while working in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment. Accountabilities: Develop and maintain scalable, high-quality full-stack applications. Contribute to system architecture design and promote engineering best practices. Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following established standards. Collaborate with global engineering teams in agile workflows and participate in code reviews. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications to ensure performance and reliability. Drive improvements in code quality and contribute to a culture of technical excellence. Requirements: 5–10 years of experience as a software engineer, with strong expertise in both frontend and backend development. Solid understanding of software architecture, testing, debugging, and clean code principles. Experience working in agile development environments and collaborating with distributed teams. Fluent in English (C1) with excellent communication skills. Availability to work 10–40 hours per week, with partial overlap with US Pacific Time. Permanent authorization to work in Italy or other eligible EU locations. Self‑motivated, solution‑oriented, and comfortable working in a fully remote, flexible environment.
