OHB Italia is seeking for its Satellite and Missions Department in Rome or Milano aMission and FDIR System Engineer (M/F) REF.FDIR_2024In this position, you will help define the satellite mission and FDIR aspects along the whole project lifecycle, from the initial concept, detailed design, implementation, verification, and in-orbit operations.You will interact with the Lead system engineer and all the different disciplines as SW, Avionics, AOCS/GNC, Propulsion, Power, Thermal etc.The successful candidate has a deep and proven knowledge of Earth and interplanetary missions and orbits, space systems, subsystems and equipment.Tasks:Mission Operations timeline definitionNominal and contingency operational scenario definition and analysisSpacecraft operational constraints identification and analysisFDIR concept, design, consolidation and fine tuningContribution to system, satellite, avionic and SW architecturesContribution to Software specificationContribution to User ManualsContribution to verification process and campaignParticipation in project technical and progress meetingsParticipation to system and equipment reviewsSupport to in orbit operations (LEOP, commissioning etc.)QualificationsStrong knowledge of satellite systems engineering, mission and operationsExperience in various satellite engineering domains (eg. Operations, SW, AOCS/GNC etc.)5+ years of hands-on working experienceExcellent sense of responsibilityStructured hands-on work-approachHighly self-motivated and able to work autonomouslyExcellent problem-solving skillsGood interpersonal skillsCustomer oriented thinking-approachUniversity degree (Master/PhD) or equivalent education plus relevant proven work experience in industryFluent in spoken and written English
