Product Manager – Cloud Join Canonical as a Product Manager – Cloud and help shape the future of open source software in the cloud native landscape. Our product management team consists of technologists who are passionate about delivering products that elevate open source software everywhere. This track focuses on product management within Cloud Native. Location: This role will be based remotely in the EMEA region. Responsibilities Lead the lifecycle of product development by reviewing priorities and goals for the products you are responsible for. Work closely with engineering leads to oversee the product development process. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams—engineering, design, marketing, and sales—to address common challenges, align on priorities, and keep business execution on track. Conduct market research, analyze industry trends, and gather customer feedback to identify opportunities and ensure alignment with Canonical’s vision. Develop your team through coaching, mentoring, and training. Establish KPIs for project status reporting and communicate across Canonical. Drive execution excellence through continuous feedback and improvement. Contribute to strategies to create and maintain high‑performing teams. Contribute to the success of the sales team by reviewing customer feedback and participating in customer meetings. Qualifications Seasoned product management experience in technical domains related to open source software in the cloud native landscape. Experience designing or managing software operations for large‑scale distributed systems. Good understanding of cloud native technologies such as Kubernetes and Docker containers. Comprehensive knowledge of enterprise security and compliance requirements for software operations. Proven ability to lead technical teams and drive their execution to excellence. Passion for writing about technologies and experience in developer marketing. A strong work ethic and personal interests aligned with the open source philosophy. Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written. Willingness to travel up to four times a year for internal events. Nice‑to‑Have Skills Experience with CNCF projects, identity, or observability systems. Intellectual curiosity and passion for the future of technology.
