With a workforce of over 3.300 professionals across its offices in Europe and around the world, Telespazio operates an international network of Space Centres and Teleports, offering cutting‑edge solutions in Geoinformation Services, Satellite Systems and Operations, and Satellite Communications.Join us as we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in Space.The Mission Planning System Engineer designs and implements Mission Planning System solutions for the Ground Segment of new satellite constellations, such as Earth Observation and Optical Communications. The role involves generating mission plans and ensuring compliance with mission constraints, including power, thermal, guidance, platform, and payload constraints.The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of hands‑on experience, works effectively in a team environment, and is familiar with Agile SCRUM methodology.ActivitiesAnalysing the mission requirements and mission constraints to determine the satellite models to be adopted.To design, coordinate the development of software solutions for Mission planning system also in big constellation scenarios.To analyse and integrate external satellite models (e.g. external guidance libraries) into the Mission Planning systemTo contribute to the technical project documentation (such as Requirements Documents, Operations Concept Document, Operations Engineering Plan, User and Administration Manual, Test Procedures, etc.)To assist in project reviews if/when requiredProven Knowledge of flight dynamicsProven Experience in Mission Planning system design and implementationSoftware Design PrinciplesKnowledge of Programming Languages: Java, PythonKnowledge of security coding standards (OWASP, CWE/SANS)Knowledge of Container Orchestration frameworks (Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc)Master’s Degree in Aerospace, Automation and Information Engineering (5 years) with competences in flight dynamicsPHD in Aerospace matters is appreciatedHigh‑level written and verbal English communication skillsQuality standards and provisionsFurther SkillsKnowledge of software security mechanisms (encryption, signature)Experience in Multiple technology stacks application developmentExperience in system engineering, design and modellingWhat We OfferA stimulating and dynamic working environment with flexible working hoursHybrid working (onsite and off‑site)Meal voucher, company canteen and employee welfare programsFree access to online learning platform with courses from top universitiesOpportunities for international experiencesWhy TelespazioAt Telespazio, the well‑being, safety, and development of our people are at the heart of our corporate culture.
