If you’re passionate about leading from the front and pushing boundaries, join us on this journey.Responsibilities:Lead 2 teams of Data Engineers and Data Ops to implement and maintain best practices in data processing according to the Data Lakehouse approach.Work closely with Data Governance, Product Management and Architects to drive platform improvements and support evolving needs of data and engineering teams.Own the data platform roadmaps.Enhance and maintain robust batch ingestion and validation pipelines.Participate in our data transformation program, taking direct ownership of a self‑service data platform and contributing to the implementation of data governance principles.Collaborate with engineering teams to implement engineering best practices within the data ecosystem.Lead by example, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team and ensuring collaboration and alignment with broader business objectives.Mentor and upskill team members.Contribute to system architecture designs with Architects.Coordinate and run proofs of concept (POCs).Qualifications:Proven leadership and mentorship experience guiding data engineering teams.Extensive experience with Data Lakehouse architectures and implementation.Solid understanding of Data Mesh, including domain ownership, federated governance, and data product design.Solid understanding of Data Governance and Quality, covering metadata management, data lineage, and data observability.Proven experience using AWS services and familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform).Proficiency in Python, SQL, Snowflake and Airflow.Experience with data modeling and knowledge of medallion architecture.Experience with Apache Iceberg and Delta Lake (preferred).Realtime data processing at scale (preferred).Benefits:An awesome team.Permanent contract.⚖️ Flexible working environment (2 days home office per week + up to 4 additional weeks of flexibility during summer and December; fully remote option).Competitive fixed salary & bonus.Lunch vouchers each working day.International teams across 10 offices in Europe.Highly inclusive working environment.♀️ Lifestyle benefits for physical and leisure activities, family support, travel.Continuous learning and development programs.Free access to the Calm app.Dedicated parental leave and caregiver leave policies (12 weeks fully paid).Health insurance.Life & Disability Insurance at no cost.Amazing offices with dining, coffee point on each floor, leisure area.Team building events.We believe that we are better together, and we welcome you for who you are.
