CEO, Building Materials for PE Target Co.The Client: our Client is a primary PE Fund, currently engaged in a bilateral discussion concerning the acquisition of a mid‑sized company in the Building Components & Materials space. The company is about €50m in turnover, with a leading positioning in its niche and a highly profitable business model. Both the PE Fund and the Target Co. will remain undisclosed during the initial stage of the process.The investment is still to be finalised and the Client's goal is to identify the 'next CEO' in advance. Ideally, they will work together throughout the due diligence and deal finalisation process to establish common ground. Upon completion, or as soon as practically possible, the candidate will be appointed as CEO of the Target Co.Location: The Target Co. is located in the north of Italy.The Role: the new CEO will possess a distinctive track record in commercial leadership roles at an international level, as well expertise as CEO or GM with focus on hands‑on transformational‑growth missions and P&L management with all levers.Sector: The Target Co. operates in the B2B commercial sector and is a leader in its niche in Italy, with room to grow internationally. Growth will need to be further pursued through mastering long value chains and go‑to‑market routes including multiple stakeholders within the premium building materials space.Position – Specific ResponsibilitiesPre‑Deal Phase: establish trust with the PE, contribute to due diligence, provide potentiality and criticalities of the business, suggest and present a specific proposition to define the post‑acquisition business plan.Post‑Deal Phase: assume leadership of the newly acquired Portfolio Co., act as the person of trust of the Investor, with direct responsibility on business plan execution, initiate a new company cycle including connecting with current management, creating a team culture, designing people & organization pillars and a go‑to‑market operating model.Scope of the RoleProvide leadership up and down the organization, building consensus through vision and distinctive add‑on competences, influencing and driving the organization across the new cycle.Focus on sustaining and empowering the current management team, fostering a high‑performance culture, and identifying new market and business opportunities within a resilient capex/operations framework.Design quick wins to fuel engagement, strengthen basics across organization and leadership, go‑to‑market model, operations; create a culture around shared goals.Focus on sustainable business evolution through consistent analysis of market potential versus company capacity to meet future challenges and drive consistent organizational growth.Interact with shareholders regularly, provide accurate and timely progress, track problems and lead problem‑solving actions.Understand business criticalities, priorities, and solutions quickly; use judgment, analytics, and consistent KPIs to assess growth opportunities and accelerate growth.Support design and implementation of robust management control and reporting systems to enable better decision‑making and underpin processes consistent with a new phase of international development and growth.Requirements (Must have)Scientific degree (Economics, Engineering); MBA is a plus.Solid corporate track record in multinational organizations with international exposure and small/mid corporate leadership experience; specific knowledge of building materials or similar go‑to‑market patterns.Background rooted in B2B commercial, demonstrated achievements of growing business in different markets and go‑to‑market models.Fully accountable for a business P&L with an international remit, managing all key functions (Commercial & Business Development, Product Development, Operations & Supply Chain, HR, Finance, IT).Hands‑on style, thinker and doer, strong entrepreneurial attitude, natural leadership energy; strategic thinking backed by solid analytical and numeric skills; business judgement and ability to present qualified propositions; action orientation and drive for results with a sense of urgency.A change agent who acts with self‑confident leadership and effective interpersonal and communication skills.Reliable and organized, sharp on details.Seniority: interpersonal maturity and credibility in front of senior stakeholders.Fluency in English is a must.Seniority levelExecutiveEmployment typeFull‑timeJob functionManagementIndustriesWholesale Building Materials, Retail Building Materials and Garden Equipment, and Building Construction#J-18808-Ljbffr
