This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring accurate and compliant customs classification of goods across global markets, with a strategic focus on supporting global classification initiatives. The selected candidate will report to the Customs Classification Manager within the Trade Compliance organization and will be primarily responsible for supporting the EMEA Trade Compliance team on all matters related to customs classification.Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify products through the analysis of mechanical drawings and technical documentationClassify imported and exported goods in accordance with applicable customs regulationsConduct analyses related to Binding Tariff Information (BTI), EU regulations, and rulings on customs classificationOptimize classification processes and systems to improve efficiency and complianceInterpret mechanical drawings and apply relevant regulatory frameworksAnalyze and continuously improve classification-related processesSupport both manual and automated self-assessment activities for preferential origin calculationsAssist in the preparation and implementation of corrective actions resulting from findings during audits and self-assessmentsExperience RequiredTechnical diploma or degree in mechanical or engineering disciplines, with a solid understanding of automotive industry productsFluent in English, both written and spokenPrevious experience in Trade Compliance, Supply Chain Management, or EngineeringKnowledge of international customs practices and regulationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in the automotive industryProficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Access, Excel, and PowerPoint), and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or other business intelligence toolsWhat We OfferWe offer dynamic career opportunities across an international landscape.
