A Joint Venture between Thales (67%) and Leonardo (33%), Thales Alenia Space is a global space manufacturer delivering, for more than 40 years, high‑tech solutions for telecommunications, navigation, Earth Observation, environmental management, exploration, science and orbital infrastructures.Job OverviewWe’re hiring an E2E System Engineer within the Observation system department and the E2E System Design and Verification unit. The role supports End‑to‑End System Engineering activities for satellite optical systems.ResponsibilitiesDevelop scientific algorithms in SAR remote sensing, image processing, and mission analysis.Perform engineering requirements analysis and flow‑down activity.Create mathematical models and budget calculations for optical payload performance.Conduct mission analysis for satellite optical systems.Participate in calibration activities for operational SAR systems.Understand the physical and functional architecture of satellite systems.Define and execute end‑to‑end verification approaches.Write technical documents and project reports.QualificationsMSc in Engineering (preferably PhD).Strong analytical and technical skills.Problem‑solving capability.Solid knowledge of statistical methods for temporal and spatial analysis of scientific data.Team player with open‑mindedness toward diverse cultures.Fluent in English (spoken and written).LocationRome, ItalyEmployment typeFull‑timeSenior LevelNot ApplicableJob FunctionAviation and Aerospace, Component Manufacturing, and Defense and Space Manufacturing.#J-18808-Ljbffr
