LOCATION: ON-SITE IN MICHIGAN, USA We are looking for a: Control Engineer to join our advanced engineering team in the automotive sector. Responsible for designing, implementing, and validating control algorithms for electrified and hybrid powertrains, charging systems, and battery management functionalities. Works on control logic development, embedded implementation, and system integration to ensure robust, production‑ready software compliant with industry standards. Main Responsibilities: Develop and release control algorithms for Electrified Powertrain (PWT), Hybrid Systems, and Battery Management Systems. Design models and control strategies using MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, and Model-Based Design (MBD) methodologies. Implement AUTOSAR (Classic or Adaptive) compliant software components and support code generation using Embedded Coder. Support integration and validation of charging systems (DCFC, ACFC) and communication protocols such as ISO 15118. Perform data acquisition, calibration, and debugging activities using INCA, MDA, CANalyzer, and vehicle/powertrain testing setups. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure seamless integration of control software into production ECUs. Contribute to system diagnostics, root‑cause analysis, and continuous improvement of control functions. Required Skills & Tools: Solid understanding of automotive powertrain systems: Electrified PWT, Hybrid Systems, BMS, PCM, charging architectures. Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow, Model-Based Design, code generation, and C for embedded systems. Experience with AUTOSAR (Classic or Adaptive) environments and toolchains. Hands‑on with INCA/MDA, CAN and UDS communication, and vehicle or bench‑level testing. Familiarity with DC Fast Charging (DCFC), AC Charging systems, and ISO15118 communication stack. Preferred Qualifications: Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Electronics, or Automotive Engineering (or equivalent). Experience in control development for electrified powertrains, charging systems, or BMS. Knowledge of embedded software workflows, calibration processes, and automotive validation methodologies.
