Senior Manager, Project Artwork Automation

We’re hiring a Senior Manager, Product Artwork Technical & Automation to join our Digital Operations and Technical Services Operation.About the RoleThe selected candidate will lead all technical and automation initiatives in Product Artwork, develop standards and processes, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver efficient, compliant, and scalable automation solutions during a major digital transformation.Key ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary contact and leader for all technical aspects of Product Artwork, providing strategic guidance and operational support for all stakeholders and business partners.Drive automation initiatives within the artwork management system (ArcTiC / Esko), partnering with Product Artwork and cross‑functional teams to ensure timely and compliant delivery that meets all HA and company standards.Establish and lead cross‑functional automated artwork template governance to maintain standardization and robust control over template design and usage, assessing and managing change impacts to safeguard compliance and sustain efficiency.Design, review, and enhance Product Artwork technical and automation processes; establish KPIs to monitor performance and value creation.Work closely with stakeholders including IT, Regulatory, Quality, Packaging Sites, Brand Protection, Supply Chain, and external partners/vendors to drive seamless automation integration and provide proactive technical support for all artwork‑related processes.Build and maintain a high‑performing, inclusive team culture; coach and develop talent while fostering a Credo‑based environment.Ensure adherence to artwork systems and regulatory standards, proactively identify and mitigate technical and automation risks.Work with the PA Leadership Team to manage departmental budgets, optimize resource allocation, and manage workload effectively.Benchmark best practices, strengthen internal capabilities, and leverage external partnerships for non‑core activities, continuously reporting progress, challenges, and achievements to senior leadership and stakeholders.QualificationsEducation: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain preferred.Experience & Skills (Required):Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in a pharmaceutical or regulated environment.Technical & automation experience in artwork or packaging fields.Experience coordinating/troubleshooting artwork, regulatory labeling, and packaging design.4+ years of people management experience in a diverse, multicultural environment, including coaching, vision communication, and leading teams through change.General understanding of regulatory processes and systems in pharmaceutical packaging or artwork management.Strong understanding of regulatory requirements for artwork, packaging, and labeling in the pharmaceutical industry.Supply Chain experience in value chain, packaging sites, MSAT, external vendor management, and related areas.Knowledge of artwork and printed packaging materials and interfaces with key functions.High intellectual curiosity to challenge the status quo and learn artwork processes and their impact on supply chain and customer experience.Strong interpersonal skills, team player, influencing without authority, setting priorities, and stakeholder management.Experience with industry technical standards and regulations applicable to artwork, including cGMP regulations (FDA, GMP, ICH, etc.).Excellent organizational skills for prioritizing work, managing resources and budgets.Ability to multi‑task, work independently, and demonstrate resilience and high productivity under constraints.Cross‑functional business acumen and comprehensive understanding of end‑to‑end supply chain processes.Proficient in tracking process improvements and measuring business value realization.PreferredLife Sciences or Pharmaceutical industry experience.Lean/Six Sigma certification.Familiarity with artwork systems (e.g., ArcTiC / Esko).Experience setting up KPIs and managing departmental budgets.Experience with design software tools (e.g., InDesign, Illustrator).Additional InformationUp to 10% domestic and international travel may be required.Required and Preferred SkillsCompetitive Landscape Analysis, Compliance Frameworks, Creating Purpose, Developing Others, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Inclusive Leadership, Leadership, Lean Supply Chain Management, Managing Managers, Package and Labeling Regulations, Package Management, Product Packaging Design, Risk Assessments, Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) Application, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Sustainability, Sustainable Packaging, Transparency Reporting.#J-18808-Ljbffr
