Overview Casa Brera, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Milan, belonging to Marriott International, is recruiting an Events Coordinator. Reporting to the Events Manager, the role is responsible for booking, coordinating, and organizing all social events, smaller groups and meetings on property. This is a full-time position, 5 days a week with 2 days off. What you'll do Liaise with departments such as rooms, kitchen, banquet operations, restaurants and bars to maintain high service and F&B standards while maximizing profits through outstanding customer service. Reactively receive, handle and coordinate all event and group inquiries; provide general support to the sales office as needed. Work on a flexible schedule as required when hosting events on property. Process all booking requests, changes, and cancellations. Identify group guest needs, determine appropriate room type, and verify availability of room type and rate. Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers. Accommodate and document special requests; answer questions about property facilities/services and room accommodations. Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue; communicate information regarding designated VIP reservations. Input and access data in reservation systems; oversee group rooming lists and room blocks to maintain availability. Set up billing accounts according to accounting policies; plan and deliver events with the client while building strong relationships and encouraging repeat business. Ensure adherence to company and department policies and procedures. Coordinate with guest, Sales Department, or Front Desk to address challenges with rooming requests; maintain organized files for all groups and events using reservation systems (e.g., OPERA, MARSHA). Execute events operationally and maintain accurate records of groups and events. What we're looking for At least 1 year of work experience in events. Fluent English and Italian are mandatory. A warm, people-oriented demeanor; a team-first attitude; attention to detail; positive outlook and outgoing personality. Planning, multi-tasking and time-management skills.
