Job PurposeLead materials strategy and sustainability initiatives to optimize platform performance, reduce environmental impact, and support and ensure global regulatory compliance. Drive materials selection, value engineering, and certification programs while establishing standards that enable cost‑effective, sustainable product development across all regions.Key ResponsibilitiesMaterials Strategy and Selection Define materials specifications and selection criteria for platform modules ensuring performance, durability, and sustainability. Evaluate emerging materials and technologies to enhance product competitiveness while reducing environmental impact.Sustainability and Environmental Compliance Lead sustainability initiatives including carbon footprint reduction, circular economy principles, and lifecycle assessments. Collaborate with Technical Compliance Manager and Safety Engineers to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and drive corporate sustainability goals across product portfolio.Materials Value Engineering Drive cost reduction initiatives through materials optimization, alternative material evaluation, and design‑for‑manufacturing principles. Analyze material costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenses while maintaining or improving performance and quality.Approvals and Certification Programs Manage materials certification processes, testing protocols, and documentation to ensure materials meet Epta’s compliance requirements. Ensure compliance with certification programs when related to materials and product sustainability.Supplier Qualification and Materials Sourcing Establish supplier qualification criteria for materials and components with focus on quality, sustainability, and traceability. Build strategic partnerships with material suppliers to access innovative sustainable solutions and ensure supply continuity.Lifecycle Cost and Circular Economy Analyze total cost of ownership including materials, energy consumption, maintenance, and end‑of‑life considerations. Drive circular economy initiatives such as recyclability, remanufacturing, and sustainable disposal strategies.Technical Standards and Documentation Collaborate with Content Experts to establish materials standards, testing protocols, and technical specifications. Create comprehensive documentation for materials selection guidelines and sustainability metrics across platform organization.Cross‑Functional Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing Partner with Technology Leader on materials innovation and R&D Leaders on regional compliance requirements.
