Data Center Facility Engineering Technician (Non-Shift), Data Center Engineering Operations Job ID: | Amazon Data Services Ireland Limited - A65 We are currently seeking a Data Center Operations Electrical/Mechanical/Control Engineer to join our Engineering Operations Team. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. The successful candidate will oversee the operation and maintenance of the electrical and mechanical infrastructure for Data Centers (DC) in Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud regions. Our technicians operate and maintain AWS DCs’ mechanical and electrical infrastructure. The role requires a motivated, self-managed individual who demonstrates initiative, proactively seeks solutions, and strives for operational excellence. Key job responsibilities Assisting in the operation and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, and HVAC equipment within the Data Center/Facility. Develop a work plan for emergency repair of critical assets. Troubleshoot all mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems. Operate under minimal supervision. Create and close work orders with appropriate data, including labor hours, equipment maintenance, and parts used in the asset management system. Maintain changes in state in mission critical infrastructure in support of corrective/preventive maintenance. Test quality, performance, safety, and reliability of products, equipment, and processes. Act as a front-line responder for hands‑on electrical and mechanical equipment troubleshooting, including AHUs, chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatment systems, pumps, motors, VFDs, and building automation systems. Professional Electrical or Mechanical Certification (National Craft Certificate (NCC), Registered Electrical Contractor (REC), or equivalent). Knowledge of mechanical systems (mechanical, HVAC systems, controls) or key electrical competencies and theory. Preferred Qualifications Data center engineering operations experience.
