From individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, and government agencies, Amazon Leo will serve people and organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.Key Job ResponsibilitiesMeasure, validate, and perform root cause analysis on phased array systems and sub-systemsInterface with standard RF equipment to enable automation and efficient data collectionCreate and/or modify new software features to enable testing of standard phased array system metrics such as EIRP, EVM, and G/TAct as a liaison with the Leo software team to drive new product requirements based on RF system test needsPerform end-to-end modeling, simulation, and analysis of digital phased array systemsExport Control RequirementDue to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or other related disciplineCoursework in digital communication theory, digital signal processing, RF/Microwave Engineering, Antennas and Electromagnetic theoryExperience in DSP techniques, digital modulation, radio architecture, line‑up analysis, RF system designExperience with lab test equipment like VSAs, VSGs, VNAs and oscilloscopeCoding and scripting skills with demonstrated experience in Matlab/Python/C++Experience with simulation tools such as SystemVue, ADS or LabViewExperience deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environmentPreferred QualificationsMS in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years of work experience or PhD with 2+ years of experienceExperience working with phased arrays and antenna measurement2+ years of non-internship professional software development experienceEqual‑Opportunity and Inclusive CultureAmazon is an equal‑opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
