Battery System Engineer, Product IntegrityJob ID: | Amazon.com Services LLCAs a Battery System Engineer, you will engage with an experienced cross‑disciplinary staff to conceive, and design innovative consumer product. You will work closely with an internal interdisciplinary team, and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition and execution. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development, and delivery of Li‑ion battery system per performance and safety requirementsDrive battery development from NPI through mass productionResearch and evaluate emerging battery technologiesCollaborate with product teams to define battery specificationsDesign battery protection circuit and pack design for NPI programs including schematic design and component selectionDevelop and review battery pack schematics, BOMs and layout to meet design requirementsConduct system and design reviews, failure mode and effects analysis (DFMEA), and risk assessmentsAnalyze and resolve battery‑related issues in production and fieldPerform battery safety assessment and design for safetySupport battery certification processes (CTIA/IEEE1725)Basic Qualifications2+ years of hardware design and validation of components, subsystems and systems experienceBachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalentPreferred QualificationsKnowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, certification, and livesite operationsExperience with hardware/software integration and real‑time systemsAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
