Our team builds products that customers love — from mesh routers to high-performance wired networking devices — and we're looking for you to join us in shaping the future of the connected home.The Core NPI TPM team at eero is looking for an experienced Software Technical Program Manager. As a TPM, you will be collaborating closely with the existing software teams located in San Francisco, US and Taipei, Taiwan. A Technical Program Manager is a creative problem solver, working across teams, partnering with stakeholders, gathering requirements, and demonstrating experience driving teams across the rapidly growing fleet of eero devices. You create customer value by developing features working with cross-functional Firmware, Mobile, Cloud and Data teams. This is a fantastic opportunity to have a significant impact on all aspects of a new product while working to build a world-class company that embodies great design, attention to detail, technological innovation, and quality.Key job responsibilitiesWork with key stakeholders in product management and executive teams to define strategy and requirementsLead cross-functional development on new technology from design through delivery for eero’s next-generation wifi productsWork with remote teams to deliver supporting software and services in sync with launch timelinesCommunicate regularly with senior management on status, risks and change controlCommunicate regularly with hardware team, software team, and CM vendors regarding program/project schedule and releases, help to highlight risks and remove obstaclesDrive efficient planning, execution, and track program/project status by tools in daily basisGenerate schedules, program/project reports regularly for board audiences to understand the status and riskHost program/project meetings, lead to conclusion, provide meeting minutes, and track action items for the team.Lead team retrospectives that maximize learning. Incorporate improvements into our development processes and apply them to future programs.A day in the lifeeero is a small and lean team. All within a day you’ll work across Engineering, Product and CX teams to track and deliver new or improve existing customer/product features. You'll work with stakeholders and engineers to clarify requirements, create schedules, track project status, communicate with hardware team and CM vendors, and solve problems to ensure product delivery.You will have flexibility on exactly what your day to day will look like. Joining us and growing up togetherBasic QualificationsBachelor’s in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent experience7+ years experience in development/managing efforts in WiFi and networking industry5+ years of professional experience in a technical role as a TPM.5+ years of experience working directly with engineering team5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, release, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.Prior experience working with contract manufacturers and chip vendorsAbility to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individualsPreferred Qualifications5+ years experienced in Agile/Scrum software development methodologies5+ years experienced working with CM, OEM, JDM to build new products5+ years experience working directly with engineering team in technologies relevant to eero: consumer wireless hardware, embedded software, mobile and web applications, distributed cloud services, databases, and/or data processing system3+ years of experience building wireless consumer products. Ideally with knowledge of wifi firmware, drivers, protocols and related networking features.Excellent oral and written communication skills (English required, Mandarin a plus).Track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow-through on projectsExperience developing and launching products that require collaboration between cross-functional and global tech teams.Experience and proficiency with one or more project management/reporting tools such as JIRA, MS Project, Smartsheet, Wiki, LookerOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
