The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from administrative to strategic. The position is based in Genoa, Italy or Naples, Italy.AccountabilitiesDevelopment and execution of laboratory tests in a simulated environmentAnalysis and verification of railway signalling logics for IXL SubSystem (cover analysis, static analysis)Support the team of Validation in the definition, organisation and execution of the validation activities relevant to a projectSupport the Signalling Validation activitiesConduct all testing and validation activities in full compliance with company standards, contract requirements, project schedule, approved test procedures, quality, safety and environmental objectives according to the CENELC standardCreate and issue test documentation and reportsManage the configuration of documentation and software in the laboratoryPerform troubleshooting, identification and resolution of system and subsystem issuesRequired skillsBasic railway signalling knowledgeSoftware development and programming languages (C, C++, C#, Java, Python)Experience and knowledge of implementation engineering processes covering testing and validationGood knowledge of HW and SW systemsStructural analysisProblem solving skills and critical thinking, with possible experience in validationStrong orientation to work in multi‑functional and/or international projectsFlexibility and comfort in working in a project/functional matrix organisationStrong communication skillsEducation/QualificationMaster's Degree (Engineering) or Equivalent in Electrical, Informatic, Computer Engineering or Information TechnologyLanguagesFluent in English.Thank you for your interest in Hitachi Rail.
