Join us as our new Distributors Sales Manager, Dairy, Italy

As part of a team of 6 people based in Italy and reporting to the Head of Sales Dairy, Italy, our future Distributors Sales Manager will be responsible for implementing the company's strategy and sales policy and developing sales through distributors.

In this role you’ll make an impact by:

  1. Lead and ensure excellent relationships with key distributors.
  2. Analyze market share and potential for each distributor, to identify and prioritize growth opportunities.
  3. Design, implement and follow up on business development plans for each key distributor.
  4. Ensure coordination of activities related to distributors within the Dairy Sales Team, including inputs to resource prioritization.
  5. Manage pricing to distributors to develop business, protect Novonesis profitability, and maintain a competitive pricing structure to the market.
  6. Build a solid sales and project pipeline through frequent customer meetings and frontline activities.
  7. Prepare business cases to optimize distribution set up.
  8. Coordinate seminars and trainings of distributors and their customers as relevant to reach business goals.
  9. Provide feedback on market trends and development of competitive products and applications.

Potentially relevant experience:

  1. Recognized qualification in food technologies or similar.
  2. Minimum 5-years related sales experience in food ingredients, with a proven experience in managing distributors, preferably in the dairy industry.
  3. Proactive and execution personality with leading, drive and a can-do attitude & capabilities.
  4. Ability to visualize, lead and implement changes for continuous improvement, planning and implementing short- and long-term goals.
  5. Strong capabilities to engage people and keep them engaged, adapting approach and work & communication styles to different and changing personalities and contexts.
  6. Ability to conduct successful complex negotiations.
  7. Disciplined and strong will to learn and continuously improve commercial and technical skills.
