Job Overview AGAP2, a European engineering consultancy, together with partner companies, is recruiting Project Engineers to join its growing technical teams in Italy. The roles cover mechanical, process, aerospace and industrial plant engineering across various locations including Milan, Busto Arsizio, Cremona, and Nembro. Project Engineer – Mechanical & Process (Busto Arsizio, Cremona) Responsibilities: Elaborate and manage production orders, customizing sold machines at both design and bill of material level. Generate and control production documentation and monitor production cycle timings. Produce technical documentation and drawings, including machine designs and assembly details. Develop mechanical prototypes and complex projects with strict cost, time and quality targets. Interface with production, suppliers and clients, ensuring smooth technical coordination. Support commercial offers, defining client specifications and supervising order execution. Collaborate with commercial, production, development, software and service teams. Qualifications: Engineering degree (mechanical or managerial) or equivalent; diploma technical with relevant experience acceptable. Minimum 2 years in a technical office, with a background in sheet metal cutting, bending, welding, mechanical manufacturing and assembly. Experience with 3‑D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) and ERP (E‑Solver preferred). Strong English communication skills. Organizational and communicative competencies. Project Engineer – Equipment & Tooling (Cremona) Responsibilities: Ensure project development and production readiness after order acquisition. Provide technical support to the commercial area. Verify client order feasibility and assist in quotation. Create technical documentation (calculations, drawings, welding data, fabrication plans, procedures) and manage approval workflow. Develop production‑valid drawings and BOMs. Stabilize product standardization efforts. Qualifications: Degree in industrial or mechanical engineering, or equivalent diploma with experience. Proficiency in 2‑D/3‑D design (Creo Parametric preferred). Experience dealing with clients, suppliers and machining shops. Knowledge of basic welding technology. Preferred experience in Oil & Gas sector. Ability to handle multiple projects concurrently. English language proficiency and teamwork skills. Willingness to travel. Mechanical Project Engineer – EPC/H2 (Milan) Responsibilities: Lead mechanical project execution, interfacing with clients, external engineering firms and internal team. Support engineering, procurement and construction phases. Co‑design and review mechanical components for aerospace composites and other advanced materials. Coordinate design, development and industrialization of composite aerospace components for space flight. Conduct risk analysis, implement corrective actions and manage technical documentation. Monitor compliance with aerospace standards (EN9100, DO‑160, EASA, NASA). Qualifications: Degree in Aerospace Engineering. At least 10 years experience in aerospace. Advanced English skill. Expertise in CAD/CAE design. Knowledge of composite materials and manufacturing processes (lamination, bonding). Familiarity with aerospace quality and safety norms. Project Engineer – Industrial Plant (Milan) Responsibilities: Develop and finalize commercial project plans for fully integrated plant solutions. Support project coordination, technical issue resolution and client interaction. Generate and validate 2‑D/3‑D plant designs, layout, and integration schematics. Assist service during plant erection and technical resolution. Qualifications: Strong technical drawing skills in plant context. Proficiency with AutoCAD 2‑D and CAD 3‑D (Inventor preferred). Experience with PDM (Vault Professional) and Office (Excel). English proficiency. Excellent relational abilities and proven teamwork. Background in turnkey plant design and installation.
