Who We AreCDS, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), providing field service capabilities to Hewlett Packard Enterprise customers as well delivering the difference in business oriented services, such as development, support and maintenance of applications, virtualisation, automation, cloud and infrastructure administration.CDS is present in 11 European countries with more than 1,800 employees, and embraces all of Hewlett Packard Enterprise's values and commitments to employees and customers alike.Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Data Center Engineer; the role will primarily involve providing Server hardware support across a multi-vendor environment, Hardware consists of HPE Servers, Dell servers and provide Data Centre cabling activities installation, termination, patching and testing of all DC interlink cabling ( i.e CAT-5e, CAT-6 6A, fibre optic).The role also includes the Data Centre Facilities management activities such as but not limited to IMAC\D (Install, Move And Change, decommissioning) work, escorting external resources, requesting access, goods in / out.Based on customer sites in Lewisham and London Docklands covering 24 / 7 365 based on 12hr shifts.The tasks will include (but not limited to) :Installations, maintenance, and repairs on customer equipment.Installation, termination and testing of all data centre interlink cablingStrong Customer relationship building skills. Ability to manage complex Customer problemsMaintains a high level of customer satisfaction by clarifying customer needs and ensuring that they are met. Handles customer-relations problems promptly and appropriately.To ensure all calls are resolved within the agreed SLA, ensuring calls are escalated when required and customers are updated, until the call is resolved and closed.The ability to communicate at all levels both written and verbalDisplay calmness and the ability to solve problems under pressure.Required skills and attributesMust have strong knowledge of HPE Servers.Experience of patch cabling in DC environment.Good knowledge of Service Now (SNOW)Sound knowledge of ESD working practiceSound knowledge of general Health & SafetyGood MS Office tool skillsBe challenged.
