About The RoleAs Assistant Underwriter for our Italian branch, you will be employed by Tokio Marine Europe S.A. Rappresentanza Generale per l’Italia and will perform underwriting assistance to the Senior Underwriter for our Japanese Business across Italy. Key ResponsibilitiesReview policies and present observations to the Underwriting team, analyze loss ratio and account performance, and gather account-specific information during renewal. Assist in preparing reports and monthly closing summaries. Ensure timely responses to broker inquiries. Maintain the portfolio database and follow up on renewal documentation. Guide the Administration team to process policies/endorsements via the system and verify issued documents. Perform data quality checks on input from the Administration team. Collect information and liaise with the Compliance team when required. Required Skills and CompetenciesFluent in Italian and English. Some experience with commercial insurance lines of business and related products (e.g., Property, Casualty, Marine). Proactive problem‑solving and ownership of tasks. Experience working within a team and with internal and external stakeholders. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good organizational and analytical skills. Experience with Microsoft Office package (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Preferred Skills and CompetenciesAny additional European language is a plus.
