We are looking for a Purchasing Manager to lead the procurement function across two iconic hospitality destinations in Milan – Palazzo Cordusio and Torre Velasca – covering our Hotels & Resorts Division, Members Club and F&B outlets.
The Purchasing Manager will oversee sourcing and procurement across all divisions, ensuring the highest quality at the best value. This role requires strong skills in negotiation, budgeting, and supplier relationship management.
Procurement Strategy & Operations
Purchase equipment, goods, and services at the best value without compromising on quality.
Develop and implement purchasing policies and cost-saving strategies.
Forecast product demand and manage stock levels efficiently.
Conduct market research to identify and evaluate new suppliers and products.
Ensure timely reordering and availability of essential materials and consumables.
Supplier Management & Negotiation
Build and maintain strong relationships with local and international vendors.
Negotiate short and long-term contracts to secure favorable terms.
Keep updated supplier records, price histories, and contract documentation.
Monitoring procurement spend against budget and identifying cost-saving opportunities;
Managing and supporting tender processes and contract negotiations;
Coordinating closely with Finance on POs, invoice matching, payment terms and budget control;
Monitoring supplier performance and ensuring compliance with company standards and requirements.
Quality & Compliance
Oversee product quality, shipping, storage, and technical requirements.
Ensure all purchased goods meet design, safety, and QA specifications.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
Supervise and support purchasing staff.
Collaborate with F&B Managers, Kitchen Managers, and Receivers to align on needs.
Work closely with finance, operations and Heads of Departments for budgeting and procurement alignment.
Degree in Economics, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a Purchasing Manager in the luxury hospitality or F&B sector.
Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage a purchasing team effectively.
Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
Fluency in Italian and English (written and spoken).
Excellent computer skills, including experience with ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
