If so, then this position is for you We are looking for a motivated individual with strong analytical and communication skills to join us.In this role you will apply advanced analytics techniques, AI/ML, and statistical concepts to derive insights from massive datasets. You will design experiments, build models, develop metrics to deeply understand our systems, and build dashboards to automate data collection and reporting. You will turn your findings into actionable recommendations that maximize customer impact. You will write detailed reports and communicate findings to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.A successful candidate is a self‑starter, comfortable with ambiguity, highly detail oriented, and thrives in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment. You will also coach and mentor junior scientists on the team, and communicate results effectively to diverse audiences.Basic Qualifications5+ years of data scientist or similar role involving data extraction, analysis, statistical modeling and communication experience5+ years of experience with data querying languages (e.g., SQL), scripting languages (e.g., Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g., R, SAS, Matlab, etc.)Master's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, data science, business analytics, economics, finance, engineering, or computer science, or Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of data scientist or similar role involving data extraction, analysis, statistical modeling and communication experienceExperience with statistical models e.g. multinomial logistic regressionExperience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar toolsPreferred QualificationsExperience managing data pipelinesExperience as a leader and mentor on a data science teamExperience working with scientists, economists, software developers, or product managersExperience working with data engineers and business intelligence engineers collaborativelyAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $143,300 per year in our lowest geographic market up to $247,600 per year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
