Amazon Data Services Italy S.R.L. is part of AWS Infrastructure Services, which designs, plans, delivers, and operates all AWS global infrastructure. In this role you will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, security experts, and operations managers to support all AWS data centers and ensure continued customer access to critical services. We are looking for Data Center Technicians to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team. Data Center Technicians are the primary resolver of a wide range of datacenter infrastructure issues, including hardware, fiber, networking, and related problems. You will be part of the Data Center Operations (DCO) team, overseeing the operation and maintenance of the IT infrastructure and hardware for AWS Cloud regions. You will become the primary resolver for your support team, gaining troubleshooting skills on different hardware and software cases and engaging other solution groups for more complex problems. Key Job Responsibilities Diagnose hardware and network problems followed by physical repairs. Troubleshoot events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures. Manually handle and lift equipment as required (weight limits per regulations). Own safety initiatives and projects to foster a strong safety culture. Local travel may be required up to 10% of the time. A valid EU driving license is required as data centers are located in remote areas outside Milan where public transport is limited. Work Schedule: 100% onsite in‑person due to the hands‑on nature of managing mission‑critical infrastructure. Basic Qualifications IT hardware troubleshooting related experience. Completed formal education/apprenticeship or training in an IT related field. B1 level of English. Preferred Qualifications Diploma or equivalent formal qualification in IT related field. Basic knowledge of Linux and experience with network protocols in a data center.
