Security Test Engineer

The Security Test Engineer at Drivesec plays a critical role in ensuring quality, identifying vulnerabilities, evaluating risks, and securing software products. This position involves close collaboration with software and cybersecurity teams to design and execute testing strategies that validate both functional and non-functional requirements across the hardware and software components of systems and IoT Devices. Objective To ensure Drivesec’s software and hardware solutions meet the highest standards of quality and performance by executing thorough testing procedures, both manual and automated. The Security Test Engineer contributes to continuous improvement and helps deliver secure, robust, and scalable products to clients. Responsibilities Design, implement, and execute functional, regression, integration, security, and performance tests to uncover vulnerabilities, risks, and increase the resilience of components and IoT systems. Collaborate with developers and analysts to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria. Update the test security process, aligning it with threats and technologies, guaranteeing the timely execution and excellent communication. Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools. Document test results and report bugs with clarity and precision. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field. Proven experience in software testing (manual and automated). Proficiency with testing tools. Familiarity with Linux environments, containers (Docker), and CI/CD pipelines. Good knowledge of software tools, preferred CAN-Utils, Python CAN, and Wireshark. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem‑solving abilities. Good written and spoken English. Preferred Knowledge of cybersecurity standards, preferred in the automotive sector. Knowledge of VAPT and the V-cycle or associated quality assurance processes. Knowledge of wireless technologies, such as Bluetooth, Wi‑Fi, and Cellular Technologies. Experience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, CAN FD, LIN).
