About Nabu Casa Nabu Casa, Inc was founded in 2018 by the founders of Home Assistant, the open‑source home automation platform, and Home Assistant OS. They built a cloud service that puts users, their privacy, and their data first: Home Assistant Cloud. Our company is profitable, has no external investors, and is staffed by employees and users. The Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Product Manager based in Europe to lead strategy for our Cloud and Hardware products. You will build the product function for both initiatives, defining what product management looks like at Nabu Casa. A Unique Opportunity: Building the Product Function from Scratch Significant autonomy in product strategy, processes, and decision‑making frameworks Own prioritization across engineers, community, and leadership Build metrics and feedback loops that inform the roadmap Create the operating model for async, distributed decision making Advocate for PM practices and data‑driven decision making What You Are Going To Do Identify and execute product strategy for Cloud and Hardware from ideation to delivery, working with engineers, program managers, and leadership. Lead day‑to‑day product development, collaborating with teams to shape services. Cooperate with the Open Home Foundation to align and integrate products. Help the Program Manager shape the roadmap and decompose programs into meaningful deadlines. Engage the worldwide community from discovery to delivery. What You Need To Have 5–10+ years as a senior product manager driving strategy and vision. Experience building or scaling product functions or leading through organizational change. Direct SaaS experience in the B2C space. Experience with full autonomy and iterative development/release. Proficiency working with multidisciplinary teams (UX, research, marketing, engineering). Strong communication skills, adapting messages to audiences. Comfort with public speaking in workshops and livestreams. Professional fluency in English. European residency and eligibility to work in Europe. Nice to Have Passion for smart home automation. Experience as a Home Assistant user. Curiosity and passion for learning. What We Offer Full‑time remote position (40 hrs/week), no fixed schedule, 3‑hour overlap for communication. Competitive compensation aligned with 75th percentile for the role and market. Benefits: 5 weeks paid time off, 14 days paid sick leave (if applicable), 6 weeks paid parental leave plus any missing days covered, hardware budget, smart‑home budget, 50% internet contribution, 2‑week personal project day, and work time on Home Assistant side projects.
