Our client is an ISO certified international Information Technology consulting and Engineering Services company focused on supporting public and private sector customers as they tackle their most daunting Information Technology and business challenges. </p><p>They are seeking a Senior Technician (Transmission / SATCOM) to support an upcoming NATO ACT program in Grazzanise, Italy. This is a great opportunity to be part of an international company specializing in the provision of services in the area of information systems and technologies, outsourcing solutions, and application development services to government and non-government organizations. </p><p><b>Working Location: </b> Grazzanise, Italy </p><p><b>Employment Type: </b> 1099, B2B </p><p><b>Compensation: </b> $50-55/hr USD </p><p><b>Language: </b> High proficiency level in English language </p><p><b>Security Clearance: </b> NATO Secret </p><b>DUTIES/ROLE </b><ul><li>Assists in performing 3rd level maintenance on all deployable and static CIS systems. Diagnoses, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs Transmission and SATCOM systems. </li><li>Assists in performing overhauls, modifications, refurbishments, and upgrades to transmission systems as directed by the supervisor. </li><li>Assists in planning, synchronizing, scheduling, and tracking of CSSC assets for corrective and preventative maintenance on all NATO CIS equipment based on Central, Operational, and Deployable Service Level Agreements. </li><li>Assists in scheduling and tracking capability of CSSC activities in support of operations, exercises, projects static Communications Information Systems (CIS) and Deployable CIS (DCIS). </li><li>Assists in directing, supervising, planning, coordinating, monitoring, and reporting upon all technical work and ensures that all technical work is performed in line with Agency's, industrial, and/or military standards. </li><li>Assists in coordination with Resource Management Branch (RMB) in regards to execution, planning, technical, logistical, and asset issues. </li><li>Develops detailed analysis of system deficiencies and provides advice on technical solutions in line with existing standards to ensure operational readiness for all customers and deployable Operational Systems Owners. </li><li>Assists and monitors assigned technical tasks efficiently to ensure that they can be executed and are in line with set target dates. Explains and provides system technical and logistical advice to senior management and initiates necessary actions to ensure that set maintenance and project targets are met. </li><li>Assists with design and configuration documentation on assigned projects and systems, including the required operating procedures and processes. Implements procedures, tools, and techniques for monitoring and managing the performance of systems under maintenance and provides official reports. </li><li>Assists and monitors all CIS equipment discrepancies; fully identifies, investigates, documents, reports, and implements corrective actions in accordance with NCI Agency directives. </li><li>Assists with Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets, and monitors progress against agreed quality and performance criteria. Provides effective feedback, throughout the performance management cycle, to ensure optimum performance. </li><li>Deputize for higher grade staff, if required. </li><li>Performs other duties as may be required. </li><li>Significant TDY will be required. </li> </ul><b>Essential Qualifications/Experience </b><ul><li>Vocational training at a higher level in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering or relevant discipline with 2 years of post-related experience, or a secondary educational qualification with 4 years post-related experience within the past 8 years. </li><li>Basic knowledge of the following transmission-related topics. </li><li>Electromagnetic antenna theory. </li><li>Energy per bit to noise power spectral density ratio versus Bit Error Rate. </li><li>Effective Isotropic Radiated Power calculations. </li><li>Fourier analysis. </li><li>Phase, vector, and spectrum analysis. </li><li>Various modulation techniques. </li><li>Error coding theory. </li><li>Fresnel zones. </li><li>Basic mechanical and electrical engineering skills for deployable terminals, including elevation and azimuth motor drives, servo drives, mechanical and electrical sensors,
