Cyber Security Analyst

About the role As a Cyber Security Analyst at Tesco Mobile, you’ll play a vital role in protecting our customers’ data and ensuring the integrity of our systems. You’ll help strengthen security controls across the business and contribute to our core objective: “Protecting Our Customers & Business Is Non-Negotiable.” Working in an Agile environment, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver workstreams such as Perimeter, Network, Endpoint, Software, Third-Party Risk, Monitoring, and SOC. This role offers flexibility with hybrid working and opportunities for career growth. You will be responsible for Building and enhancing detection capabilities across our platforms. Developing dashboards for monitoring and compliance using tools like Splunk. Automating integrations between platforms and security tools. Translating requirements into actionable tasks and code. Supporting vulnerability management and incident response processes. Acting on threat intelligence and responding to bug bounty submissions. Collaborating across teams to ensure security is embedded in everything we do. You will need A passion for learning and developing new skills. Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills. Experience with platforms like Splunk and writing queries. Understanding of vulnerability management processes and best practices. Knowledge of networks, infrastructure, and cloud environments. Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Python, PowerShell, Terraform). A collaborative mindset and commitment to innovation and industry standards. Nice to Have: Familiarity with security tooling and frameworks (e.g., Mitre ATT&CK, NIST). Experience with vulnerability scanning tools (e.g., Qualys, Tenable). Awareness of current cyber threats and defensive techniques.
