Material Handler

The Material Handler responsibilities include, but may not be limited to,Understand the safety of the forklift and operate without compromise to those safety systems.Operate powered industrial vehicle to load and unload materials and move them to various areas around the plant.Loading and unloading steel tubing from truck deliveriesMoving steel tubing packed on pallets or in crates around the plantUnderstand basic material flow within the organization and support production operations.Perform daily equipment checks on designated forklift vehicleChecking to ensure loads are secureOther duties as assignedQualifications and Education Requirements:At least one year of forklift driving experienceHigh degree of attention required to prevent injury to others; promote a safe work environmentFollow instructions for operating equipmentStrong work ethic and reliableFast learner and able to adapt to a fast-paced environmentSelf-directed individualHigh school diploma requiredPreferred Skills:At least one year of forklift driving experience in a manufacturing settingMaterial handling and/or packaging experienceBasic mathematical aptitudePositive Attitude, willingness to learnStrong mechanical abilitiesPhysical requirements:Regularly sitting on a powered industrial forklift vehicleHaving good eye-hand-foot coordinationAbility to assess weights and judge distances and heightsMust be able to work standing, walking, bending, reaching, and stooping (Frequently)Must be able to lift to 20 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.#J-18808-Ljbffr
