Its main function is to deliver best-in-class credit analysis of corporate clients, monitoring the local portfolio and ensuring the safety and soundness of wholesale lending through risk policy management.About the role As a Corporate Credit Risk Associate you will be responsible for:Assessing the credit and financial strength of BBVA’s clients by performing fundamental credit analysis of counterparties, using both quantitative and qualitative factors.Preparation, submission for approval and presentation at relevant Credit Committees of Financial Programs through relevant discretion processes.Approving utilization of sanctioned limits within discretion.Ensuring the establishment and effectiveness of credit policies and risk limits as well as compliance with risk appetite.Supporting and providing guidance to other units within BBVA.What are we looking for? Previous experience and technical knowledge:BA/BSc Finance or Business Management or any other related subject.Demonstrable financial services experience of at least 4 years, including credit experience in Banking, Consulting, Credit Risk Management, or equivalent.Strong knowledge of Credit Processes.Strong analytical skills, including understanding of key financial components (liquidity position, leverage profile, etc.) and the ability to form independent opinions on credit, recognizing emerging risks.Solid Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) skills.Understanding of banking products and sustainability issues.LanguagesSpanish and English: fluent.Italian is highly valuable.Soft-skillsStrong inter-personal and verbal communication skills. Should be at ease in communicating with internal and external stakeholders within risk management and other divisions.Strong organization and time management skills.
