Preferred locations: Turku, Finland or Trieste, Italy. Hybrid working model with partial remote work. Occasional travel up to 120 working days per year, flexible based on preference.What will you be doing?Deliver high‑level technical support for Wärtsilä’s W46‑TS large bore engine to both internal and external customers. Serve as a link between R&D and the field, identify and initiate product improvements, and resolve complex technical challenges through root‑cause analysis and hands‑on problem solving. Travel internationally, collaborate with leading experts, receive comprehensive training, and contribute directly to product development.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide high‑level engine expert support for internal and external customers.Make product improvements and participate in the introduction and design stages of new products and solutions.Perform field testing of new products.Produce field follow‑up materials, feedback analyses, and reports.Conduct site surveys and troubleshoot in the field.Create and maintain technical content for manuals, after‑sales information, and service bulletins.Follow up and solve problems together with other technical departments.Actively engage in continuous competence development.Influence and enhance ways of working through continuous improvement.Be an innovative expert in Wärtsilä’s expert organisation.RequirementsBSc or MSc in Mechanical Engineering, equivalent education, or qualifications gained through work experience.Experience with and knowledge of Wärtsilä 4‑stroke engines and related auxiliary equipment.Field experience with troubleshooting, performance analysis, and reporting.Motivation and genuine interest in working with engines and continuously increasing expertise.Strong interpersonal skills and a team‑player approach.Organised, proactive, and flexible way of working, with a self‑directed approach.Excellent analytical and technical problem‑solving skills.Proficient English language skills, both written and spoken.Willingness to travel when required.A service‑oriented mindset to provide the best possible experience for our customers.Contact & Next StepsStill unsure whether to apply or have a question about the role?
