We are looking for a Truck Product Development Specialist dedicated to developing cutting‑edge products for the NAFTA market , one of the most demanding and high‑performance-oriented commercial tire segments. Role Overview As a Truck Product Development Specialist, you will be part of an international R&D environment, contributing to the definition, design, validation, and continuous improvement of products specifically tailored for NAFTA applications. You will transform market needs into robust product solutions aligned with Prometeon’s technological and strategic roadmap. Key Responsibilities Market Analysis & Benchmarking Conduct in-depth analysis of NAFTA market applications, technical requirements, performance expectations, and competitor products. Product & Mold Design Design tread patterns, tread profiles, and sidewall geometries using CAD tools (AutoCAD, CREO preferred). Support mold design activities in coordination with manufacturing teams. Technical Specification Development Define tire specifications and performance targets. Follow industrialization phases in Prometeon’s manufacturing plants. Plan, monitor, and analyze internal and external testing sessions. Simulation & Optimization Use Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools to model, optimize, and validate structural and performance characteristics. Market Validation Monitor product KPIs in real NAFTA field conditions and contribute to continuous improvement plans. Work closely with cross-functional teams across R&D, industrialization, quality, and marketing. Availability for travel to North America (typically 1–2 weeks per mission). Required Skills & Qualifications Degree in Mechanical Engineering , Materials Engineering , or related fields. Proficiency in AutoCAD ; experience with CREO is a plus. Experience with FEA tools applied to tire design. Preferably familiar with tire manufacturing processes . Strong command of the English language . Excellent capability to analyze complex technical data. Effective problem‑solving skills and proactivity. Ability to anticipate market trends and needs.
