Senior Field Service Technician – Medium Voltage Switchgear and Breakers Join to apply for the Senior Field Service Technician – Medium Voltage Switchgear and Breakers role at Siemens Location: Milan (Electrification and Automation Customer Service area) This permanent contract position involves performing maintenance activities on medium‑and low‑voltage switchgear, including vacuum circuit breakers (VCB), GIS, and AIS technologies. You will conduct electrical and mechanical testing, ensure that all activities comply with time schedules and quality standards, coordinate on‑site operations, and serve as the key point of contact during field interventions. Your Challenge Perform maintenance on medium‑ and low‑voltage circuit breakers, including vacuum circuit breakers (VCB), GIS (Gas‑Insulated Switchgear), and AIS (Air‑Insulated Switchgear) technologies Conduct electrical and mechanical testing on switchgear and related components Coordinate field activities, including supervision of on‑site personnel and subcontractors when required Ensure all work is carried out according to the project schedule, technical specifications, and quality standards Identify and report any deviations or non‑conformities, contributing to continuous improvement and customer satisfaction Collaborate with engineering and planning teams to prepare interventions and support troubleshooting Qualifications More than 6 years of proven experience in executing maintenance activities on medium‑ and low‑voltage systems (including VCB, GIS, AIS technologies) A solid track record in managing complex maintenance worksites, including planning, coordination, and safety compliance Strong willingness and flexibility to travel extensively, often at short notice, to support customer operations across various locations The ability to work independently on technical tasks, combined with a proactive and problem‑solving mindset Good communication and organizational skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and internal teams Passion to never stop growing Respect and appreciation of each person's uniqueness, willingness to co‑create and share knowledge Proficiency in English and Italian Eligibility to work in Italy What We Offer Welfare: flexible welfare programs and health insurance extendable to your family; professional and extraprofessional accident insurance; free on‑site lunch options Never stop growing: plenty of opportunities for continuous and individual learning journeys An inclusive team culture where you can be yourself Siemens is an equal opportunity employer, offering a safe and inclusive work environment, based on mutual respect and the appreciation of uniqueness, guaranteeing equal employment opportunities to all qualified candidates to unleash their full potential.
