Offer Description
The research activity involves the design and development of innovative measurement systems based on image analysis, for measuring both velocity and temperature fields in experimental fluid-mechanics. The focus is on non-invasive measurement techniques such as Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Thermal Imaging (TI). In particular, the aim is to study fluid fields using cameras with innovative Event-Based sensors, for both hydrodynamic and aerodynamic flows. Engineering applications will include internal flows in micro-channels, for the study of heat transfer, the turbulent jets, for the investigation of multiphase dynamics and external flows for studying wakes of models in wind tunnel

Eligibility criteria
up to 40 points for the professional scientific curriculum - up to 30 points for qualifications and publications (max 5) - up to 30 points for the interview REQUIREMENT:PhD in Theoretical and Applied Mechanics or equivalent qualification obtained in Italy or abroad. Knoledge of both Italian and English languages
The candidate must have several years of experience in the development and use of advanced measurement systems based on image analysis, with specific reference to Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) and Thermal Imaging techniques. Experience in measurement and analysis using advanced image analysis techniques is required, in energy and aeronautical engineering applications, such as microfluidic flows in channels, multiphase turbulent jets, and external flows in wind tunnels, such as model wakes.
