Job ID: | Amazon Web Services, Inc. The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team seeks an experienced Senior Advisory Consultant to join our North American team. In this transformative role, you will work closely with industry customers to drive business strategy, lead enterprise transformations, and deliver innovative solutions leveraging AWS cloud technologies and emerging trends such as Generative AI. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver comprehensive business case analyses that demonstrate expected customer ROI, solution guidance, and implementation pathways for strategic cloud initiatives. Lead cloud operations transformations, including the design of cloud operating models, organizational change management strategies, FinOps implementations, and cloud governance frameworks. Drive enterprise transformations leveraging cloud and emerging technologies through program management, value realization strategies, and cloud strategy development. Spearhead data and AI transformations, with a focus on Generative AI advisory for delivery, user adoption, operations transformation, and AI governance. Orchestrate large‑scale cloud migration and modernization plans, aligning application portfolios with business priorities and architecting data center exit strategies. Cultivate strategic relationships with C‑suite executives and key stakeholders to become a trusted advisor on cloud transformation initiatives. Collaborate with AWS service teams to provide input on roadmap prioritization and identify opportunities for new ProServe initiatives. Lead cross‑functional teams and mentor junior consultants to deliver high‑impact customer engagements. A Day in the Life Advisory Team partners with customers to increase shareholder value and disrupt business models. We enable customers to drive competitive advantage by enhancing digital capabilities that enable innovation on new products and services. Focus areas include Cloud Operations, Delivery Excellence, Cloud Business Strategy, Value Realization, Data & AI, and Cloud Migration Planning. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related field, or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in management consulting or internal technology advisory roles, with a minimum of 2 completed projects in Financial Services, IT, Telecommunications, Media, Healthcare, Manufacturing, or Retail. 3+ years of experience in enterprise cloud transformation initiatives involving C‑suite executives, with at least one project in the aforementioned industries. Experience working cross‑functionally with teams of 10+ members, managing complex programs spanning at least two distinct organizations. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation. AWS Professional level certifications (Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional). Experience with automation and scripting (Terraform, Python). Knowledge of security and compliance standards (HIPAA, GDPR). Strong communication skills, capable of explaining technical concepts to technical and non‑technical audiences. Deep expertise in Cloud Operating Models, Enterprise Transformation, Business Value Realization, Data & AI Advisory, and Generative AI strategies. Experience with emerging technologies such as GenAI and Agentic AI applications in industry‑specific contexts.
