The candidate will work closely with other engineers and scientists creating the foundation of the future Datalogic AI solutions.Main ActivitiesResearch and develop state-of-the-art Machine Learning/Deep Learning models for automatic data analysis;Design and implement DNNs to detect, classify and segment objects from 2D/3D camera;Train, optimize, quantize, deploy and monitor performances of DNNs on edge devices;Analyze performance of models, provide guidance for targeted data collection to enhance training dataset;Integrate ML components into existing products;Profile, improve, optimize the performances of libraries and software components for use on our specific hardware and operating systems.Improve SW quality and ease the integration of the software in our products.Technical SkillsMS in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Electronic Engineering, with a focus in Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Artificial Intelligence, or related fields.Expertise with state-of-art Machine Learning and Deep learning solutions.Expertise with ML framework such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.Good skills in at least one of Python or C++.Strong mathematical reasoning skills, especially related with probability and statistics.Good knowledge of software engineering and programming best practices.Ability to analyze, understand and refactor existing code.Experience in SW optimization and multi-threaded programming is considered a plus.Experience in HW acceleration (open MP, GPU programming, SIMD) is considered a plus.Development experience on embedded systems (Android/Linux) is considered a plus.Soft SkillsInnovation and problem solving;multidisciplinary team working;willingness to work with international teams;active participation to the project, and commitment to quality and time;Practical mind set and co-attitude;RequirementEducation (School/Specialization): MS in Computer Science, Math, Physics, Electronic Engineering, Artificial Intelligence.Languages: Italian and english fluentExperience: Good knowledge of ML/Deep Learning models used both regression and classification tasks. Graduate student or with 2-3 years of experience in research activity on Deep Learning/Computer Vision.Nice to have: Knowledge of C++.
