A day in the life of a Senior Back-End Engineer Manage the full lifecycle of new epics, from technical design to customer delivery Design and implement scalable, high‑performance backend features Write and maintain clear technical documentation and architecture decisions Analyze and troubleshoot system performance issues Ship production updates daily with minimal risk Provide technical leadership and support across engineering teams Conduct code reviews to uphold engineering standards and code quality Job Requirements Are you the new Senior Back-End Engineer at Lansweeper? Delivers consistent, high‑quality results in modern software engineering Brings a user‑centered mindset and works comfortably in Agile teams Uses AI‑powered coding tools as part of my daily workflow Keeps up with emerging technologies, patterns, and best practices Communicates effectively with engineers, product managers, and stakeholders I have At least 4 years of experience in cloud‑native backend development Strong expertise in Golang and Node.js Bonus points for Rust experience Hands‑on experience deploying services to Kubernetes, with full CI/CD ownership using GitHub Proven skills with Postgres and MongoDB Familiarity with Kafka and distributed messaging architectures Bonus experience with ClickHouse and Iceberg‑based data lakes Good knowledge of observability, monitoring, and system health metrics Complete professional fluency in English This role may include participation in our on‑call duty system, which means being available outside regular hours to respond to urgent technical incidents. On‑call weeks are planned in advance, and we offer a base allowance plus potential overtime compensation.
