What To Expect Day To DayWe are looking for a dynamic and experienced Linux Platform Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing the building blocks of Linux-based systems, including bootloaders, drivers, and software packages. You will have the opportunity to learn new skills, work with experienced engineers, and make a real impact on the company.If you are a highly motivated and experienced Linux Platform Engineer, we encourage you to apply.ResponsibilitiesDeveloping high quality software as well as unit and component tests within a continuous integration environmentIntegrating new packages into existing integration environment.Supporting other projects developed within company by providing expertise related to low level software / Linux domain area.Co-ordinating with the Product Owner, team members and other stakeholders to meet business objectivesParticipating in project planning sessions and providing estimatesUnderstanding the product and domain in order to write technical specificationsConfiguring and maintaining release and deployment environmentsParticipating in manual end to end system QA testingQualifications· Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or equivalent.A minimum of 2 years' experience in low-level Linux development.Proficiency in debugging bootloaders, Linux kernel, and cross-compilation challenges.Strong grasp of Linux integration environments, preferably Yocto.Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python).Experience with peripheral standards (I2C, SPI, PCI, PCIe, RS422, RS485, RS232, SATA, PATA, MMC).Proficiency in source code revision control, especially GIT.Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.Practical experience with Yocto integration environments (Buildroot experience is advantageous).Development background with Ubuntu.Proficiency in testing Linux BSPs (Board Support Packages).Hands-on experience developing u-boot, Linux kernel drivers, and shell scripting.Practical skills in debugging low-level software issues using JTAG probes.Ability to comprehend and explain the impact of electronic schematics on low-level software.Knowledge of Linux system-level programming.Familiarity with Linux filesystems for flash storages (a significant advantage).Our ValuesWe work togetherWe believe in peopleWe won’t accept the ‘way it has always been done’We listen to learnWe’re trying to do the right thingEqual Employment Opportunity StatementIndividuals seeking employment at Camlin are considered without regards to race, colour, religion, national origin, age, sex, marital states, ancestry, physical or mental disability, gender identity or sexual orientation.#J-18808-Ljbffr
