Consultant – Product Development at McKinsey & CompanyJoin us to focus on product innovation and operational excellence within our Operations Practice. You will partner with clients across industries to design, implement, and refine product development strategies that drive growth, improve margins, and create sustainable competitive advantages.Your ImpactYou will work as a core member of the Operations Excellence Program (OEP) and participate in client engagements across various industry and service lines. Your responsibilities include:Diagnose operational and product development challenges by identifying issues, forming hypotheses, designing analyses, and synthesizing conclusions into actionable recommendations.Lead end‑to‑end problem solving, from data collection and analysis to recommendation development and client communication.Collaborate with cross‑functional client teams to design and execute initiatives that improve product development cycles, reduce time‑to‑market, and enhance product quality.Deliver client presentations, facilitate workshops, and build client relationships that create lasting impact.Engage in advanced training and structured capability‑building programs that focus on six operations themes: manufacturing, product development, purchasing, service operations, supply chain management, and capital excellence.Contribute to ongoing knowledge development, share best practices, and mentor junior consultants on the OEP team.Your Qualifications and SkillsMaster’s degree with exceptional academics.Initial experience in product development (e.g., product optimization, value analysis, leading R&D projects, technical supplier management).Proven record of leadership in a work setting and/or through extracurricular activities.Mobility and enthusiasm for taking on European assignments during the work week.Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem‑solving skills.Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing, in English and local office language.Seniority LevelAssociateEmployment TypeFull‑timeJob FunctionConsulting, Product Management, and Project ManagementIndustriesAirlines and Aviation; Motor Vehicle Manufacturing; Aviation and Aerospace Component Manufacturing#J-18808-Ljbffr
