Senior Enterprise Architect & IT Strategy Senior Enterprise Architect & IT Strategy — PLAS – Platform Architecture Strategy, the Value Line of BIP — is focused on guiding enterprise architecture and technology evolution to enable business transformation and digitalization for large organizations.Role location: Rome, Italy.ResponsibilitiesAnalyze technology trends and emerging solutions, evaluating architectural, organizational, and operational impacts.Define evolutionary scenarios, guidelines, and enterprise‑level architectural solutions that enable cross‑functional transformations of processes, applications, and technologies.Interact with business and IT stakeholders (including C‑level) to define architectural roadmaps and adopt new technologies.Build detailed architectural blueprints (processes, applications, data, technologies) to enable evolution of operating models.Coordinate application assessments, IT due diligence, and post‑merger integration strategies.Define business cases to support architectural decisions and cost/benefit evaluations.Support startup or evolution of Enterprise Architecture functions at client sites, contributing to mission, operating model, and tooling definitions.Oversee the evolution of architectures over time to ensure alignment with principles and reference frameworks.Promote internal community growth through coaching, methodological sharing, and development of architectural assets.Contribute to the evolution of PLAS EA offering by codifying frameworks, accelerators, and project approaches.Your Profile5–8 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture and IT Strategy, gained in consulting firms or structured companies;Systemic view of the enterprise context with strong synthesis and abstraction skills;Familiarity with core architectural paradigms (SOA, API, microservices, event‑driven, containers, etc.).Experience with architectural modeling tools (UML, BPMN, Archi, etc.).Ability to lead complex architectural solutions and present them to non‑technical stakeholders;Experience building business cases and cost/benefit analyses for architectural initiatives;Experience coordinating project teams and facilitating architectural decision‑making processes;Continuous improvement mindset and ongoing learning of technologies, trends, and best practices;Strong communication and relationship skills, including in high‑visibility contexts;Fluent in English (speaking and writing).Nice to HaveEnterprise Architecture certifications (e.g., TOGAF).Knowledge of IT governance frameworks and application lifecycle management (e.g., COBIT, ITIL).Certifications or experience with project delivery methodologies (Agile, Scrum, PMP).Familiarity with cloud environments, hybrid architectures, and modern integration paradigms (API, microservices, DevOps).Experience with architectural modeling tools (ArchiMate, Draw.io, LeanIX, Bizzdesign, Mega/Abacus, etc.).Knowledge of major enterprise platforms (ERP, CRM, WMS, TMS) and related application ecosystems.About the Practice and Company Join PLAS to contribute to an excellence‑driven practice and help clients transform technologically and organizationally.
