At MoneyGram Haas F1 Team – known within the paddock as the ‘family team’ – you’ll be involved in many different areas of the team, have much wider visibility across the business, and will be able to clearly see your contribution to our team.Yes, you’ll learn from us, but we expect to learn from you tooKey ResponsibilitiesPromote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.Design of F1 chassis related components and mechanical assemblies.Activity consists in the study and design of components through solid modelling, surface modelling and 2D drawing with the aim of obtaining high-performance, reliable solutions and optimized sizing.The perimeter of the involved components includes suspensions, wheels, hydraulic, fuel and cooling systems, with also the equipment for the car homologation and its management on track-side (for instance legality checks, pit stop equipment, etc).Management of the ‘design mock-up activity’ in design officeFollow all safety regulations in all venues.Other duties as assigned by the Design Team Leader or their designee.Education and Work ExperienceGCSE, High School diploma or equivalent required. Further education including Mechanical Engineer degree. Minimum 6 years of work experience, 3 of which must be in a professional motorsports environment or F1 Companies.Specialized Knowledge and SkillsStrong communication skills, written and verbal.Have an excellent understanding of English.Strong technical background in racing car.Work to a consistently high standard in stressful and time sensitive situations.Quick decision-making skills whilst working through problems in a scientific and analytical way.Work well within a team environment with personnel at all levels.A sympathetic approach to your work colleagues and an ability to integrate within a group environment.A can-do positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential.Equipment and ApplicationsSolid computer knowledge (CATIA should be preferred), preferred experience in Microsoft Office products and ERP Systems.Mechanical aptitude with also composite knowledge.Ability to follow complex regulations related to shipment of materials and facility maintenance requirements.Work Environment and Physical DemandsAn ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role may require occasional domestic and international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast-paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids.
