The candidate should have a basic understanding of logistics and should be able to communicate clearly in verbal and written form. They will serve as the primary custodians of shipment tracking for the business to final delivery. Key Job Responsibilities Continual tactical communication with key stakeholders, including RAD Operations, Transportation Carriers, Internal BU customers, and OTS Supply Chain. Systematically escalates problems or variances in information and data to GTL Logistic Specialist and GTL Logistics Manager. Pulls data from numerous databases (using Excel and other data management systems) and performs ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed. Performs Root Cause Analysis on any recorded issues regardless of scope. Meets performance metrics to assist with driving business results. Shares daily, weekly, and monthly metrics as requested. Quickly understands the business impact of trends and makes decisions based on available data. A Day in the Life The daily responsibilities of this Amazon logistics coordinator encompass coordinating truck pickups with 3PL and brokers, uploading physical receipts to AWS, maintaining accurate freight and parcel tracking documentation, managing pallet volumes with Janus Operations, investigating shipment issues, updating reporting documents for management reviews, and providing end-of-day summaries. This role requires constant communication with various stakeholders, meticulous attention to detail in tracking shipments and pallets, and the ability to quickly address and document any logistical challenges that arise. About the Team Global Transportation Logistics (GTL) team supports the movement of non-inventory IT equipment (assets, spare parts, and consumables) across our fulfillment and delivery networks, including Data Centers. The team consists of inbound/outbound logistics, reverse logistics programs, dangerous goods, and import/export trade compliance. focuses on continuously improving operations, saving costs, addressing compliance requirements, facilitating proper asset disposition, and expanding services to meet growing business needs. The starting pay for this position is listed below including the base pay rate plus the highest available shift differential which applies depending on the shift you select. As a total compensation company, you are eligible for additional earnings including overtime pay and performance bonuses. Final pay will be based on factors including shift selection and location.
